I strongly believe the following: based largely on demographic shifts, conservatives in the U.S. know that they are on the wrong side of history. So, their only hope is a combination of voter suppression tactics and gerrymandering. The Pence/Kobach voter fraud commission is a not-so-veiled effort towards eventual voter suppression. In this thread, we see how the commission is founded on literal fake news.
1/10 Theres been off-base reporting frm Fox, Washington Times & Kobach in Breitbart on those w out-of-state licenses voting in New Hampshire

This is the author of a book about voting rights. The “Commission” Kobach is leading is undoubtedly a means towards additional voter suppression. Glad to see the states are seeing right through this. Voter suppression efforts + gerrymandering feel like the biggest threats to our democracy right now and we must #resist.
27 states now opposing Kobach: AZ, CA, CT, IN, KY, MA, MN, MS, MT, NC, NM, ND, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI

Today, President Trump signed an Executive Order establishing a commission to study “election integrity.” He announced that Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach would co-chair the commission with VP Pence. This is truly insane.
The ACLU is having none of this.
Kris Kobach, vice chair of "Election Integrity" commission, has been sued by the ACLU for voter suppression 4 times.
