I listen to music, often. I don’t own a lot of music, though. I have pretty eclectic tastes in music and I mostly like to listen to a mix of songs and artists. Internet radio serves me well. There are, however, about 6 or 7 albums I will listen to straight through on occasion. Three of those albums are by Linkin Park (one of which is a collaboration with Jay-Z). So, I don’t know that I qualify as a “fan” of the band, but I listen to their music as much, if not more than, any other artist. So, it was really painful to learn that lead singer Chester Bennington had apparently taken his own life this morning. He was 41 and has 6 kids. Ugh.
I was happy to see that the author of the article linked below features Shadow of the Day, probably my all-time favorite Linkin Park song.
“The truth is that right this second, one of his band’s best songs is also probably the hardest to hear.”
