Today was going reasonably well, until we started hearing echoes of the Saturday Night Massacre. President Trump fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates for doing her job. Simply unreal. We are in the throes of a constitutional crisis. Nothing short of the very existence of our democratic republic is on the line.
So, what to do? Well, read what Archibald Cox, one of the key characters during the Saturday Night Massacre said.
…then the people over that weekend rose up, overwhelmed him… I think that demonstration of the people’s understanding that their liberties rest on the rule of law and Constitution was far and away the most important thing.
